Infratil is an owner and operator of businesses in the energy (mainly renewable), airport and public transport sectors. Its energy operations are predominantly in New Zealand and Australia. As well as owning Manston Airport the Company owns Wellington Airport in New Zealand and Glasgow Prestwick Airport in Scotland. Infratil's public transport services are in Auckland and Wellington, New Zealand.
Infratil is a long term investor and is an active, added-value shareholder in assets or companies it invests in. Infratil is managed by HRL Morrison & Co Limited ("Morrison & Co"), which both identifies and evaluates investment opportunities on Infratil's behalf and then manages those investments to realise their potential. Morrison & Co operates from offices in Auckland, Wellington (New Zealand), Brisbane, Sydney (Australia) and Hong Kong.
