Tail to truck operations and 90 minute turnarounds as standard

With the benefit of a lack congestion and the efficiency of our operating structure Manston offers 90 minute turnarounds of freight aircraft as standard - ideal for time critical perishable goods. Our ability to offer tail to truck operations can cut hours from your delivery schedule getting your freight on the road often before it's even started to be unloaded at competing airports.

Excellent motorway links to London

Uncongested motorway access and being less than 45 minutes from the M25 is a further advantage. Manston is located on the dual-carriageway A299 which connects to the M2 motorway taking your cargo directly to the M25 and beyond. The airport also offers excellent road connections to the Port of Dover in just 35 minutes providing an excellent platform for European bound consignments.

Temperature controlled warehouse

Our large temperature controlled warehouse is available for both inbound and outbound freight. Located directly adjacent to our main freight apron it is perfectly located for a quick transfer to or from the aircraft.

Perishable EU Border Inspection Post

The airport is able to accommodate shipments of fresh meats and animal products through our state of the art, fully licensed, Border Inspection Post. This facility was opened in 2005 and remains one of the leading facilities available in Europe.

Equine Border Inspection Post

We are currently constructing a state of the art equine facility due for completion in August of this year. Located adjacent to our main freight apron this facility is set to become the leading UK facility for the safe inbound and outbound transfer of livestock within the UK.
