Ramsgate Infants Singing At Airport On Friday
MANSTON Airport's terminal will echo to the enchanting sound of "Away in a Manger" and "Jingle Bells" - thanks to the enthusiastic singing of 90 local tiny tots on Friday.
The children are from year 2 at Ellington Infant School in Ramsgate and they're coming to the airport on their last day of term at 11.00am to sing Christmas Carols for charity.
Trailblazer Travel, the travel agents based in the terminal, have organised the whole event.
The airport's Sian Errington explained: "Our aim is to raise money for Demelza House in Sittingbourne, the wonderful hospice that cares for terminally-ill children.
"We'll have a raffle with various prizes, Santa will visit, we'll have mince pies for everyone and Stagecoach have very kindly offered to transport the infants for free in their Demelza House double-decker bus.
"Staff are dressing up as elves and fairies so it will be a lovely and very moving day.
"We're very grateful to Trailblazer Travel and Stagecoach for their fantastic help. And we're looking forward to hearing the children sing - there won't be a dry eye in the building, I'm sure!"
