Manston Set For Free Airport Extravaganza
Manston Airport is set to open its terminal doors to the public next month for its annual free family fun day.
The airport extravaganza will include plenty of entertainment for children, including competitions, a clown and face painting, while businesses such as Quex, the Spitfire Museum and Visit Thanet will appeal to adults.
Tour and travel operators will also be available throughout the day offering on-the-day deals and providing help to customers looking to book a holiday. Representatives from Newmarket Holidays and Discover Jersey will be on hand to offer expert advice on flights and destinations available, direct from Manston Airport.
The Heart Angels radio roadshow team will also touch down at Manston during the fun day. A raffle will be held at the airport with all proceeds going to Demelza Hospice Care for Children.
Charles Buchanan, Chief Executive of Manston, said: “The family fun day has been designed to cater for the youngest would-be pilot up to the seasoned holidaymaker.
“The day will give us the opportunity to further showcase the range of flights and holiday destinations available to Kent residents from their own local airport.”
The fun day takes place on Saturday, February 4, running from 11am to 4pm. Car parking and entry into the event is free all day.
